Jeffrey F. Shapiro, M.D., F.A.A.O.S., F.A.C.S.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Great Neck | Dr. Jeffrey F. Shapiro, M.D. | Long Island Jeffrey F. Shapiro, M.D. is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in total joint replacements using computer navigation, with an emphasis on knee replacement surgery. Dr. Shapiro is a graduate of New York Medical College. His internship in general surgery was at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and he completed his Post-Doctoral training as Resident in Orthopedic Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. His fellowship in Joint Replacement Surgery was completed at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore.

Dr. Shapiro has been in private practice since 1984.

In addition to his clinical appointments, Dr. Shapiro maintains memberships in several professional affiliations, including:

James M. Kipnis, M.D.

Kipnis is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with specialty training in sports medicine and the treatment of disorders of the knee and shoulder, including ligament and joint reconstruction. Dr. Kipnis obtained his M.D. degree from the prestigious University of California, San Francisco, which is perennially ranked among the top 5 medical schools in the country. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Kipnis completed an additional year of specialty fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Tufts University and The New England Medical Center in Boston, MA.

Dr. Kipnis is a fellow of both:
